Contract of Policies and Guidelines
Welcome to my music studio. I will work hard to provide the best learning environment possible to help each student to learn and grow as a musician. This includes correct technique, sight-reading, ear training, theory, and performance. The following guidelines are to help the teacher, student, and parents to understand each of our roles and ensure success in this musical adventure. Thank you for taking lessons with me.
Practice Requirements: Getting your student to play their instrument for 10-30 minutes each day will keep students learning and growing in music. Students will come to class with a ready-to-learn mindset. Bring all books, papers, and instruments. This will lead to success in learning music.
Recitals: Part of your monthly payment includes two recitals a year. I have a Christmas Recital in early December and an end of the year recital in May. Students get to show what they have learned and rub shoulders with others students in a relaxed setting.
Schedule and Tuition: Students can expect to meet with their teacher 4 times a month on a set day and time each week. Your monthly payment reserves your spot. If you cannot make your lesson, I cannot give you a make up lesson. Sorry.
Tuition is a flat rate. This means that missed lessons do not change the lesson price. Payment for lessons can be in Cash or Venmo, My Venmo is; @Chad_Toews One month of lessons is 140.00 dollars. This is due on the first lesson of the month. Each week there will be an additional $5 charge for late tuition.
I take most School holidays off. This includes 9/7, 11/11, 11/23-11/27 , 12/21-1/1, 3/26-4/2, and June and July.
Thank you for taking the time to read this policy. If you have concerns or need clarification, please feel free to text me. With open and honest communication, we will ensure the success of everyone’s musical development. Thank you for taking lessons with me.
